The status of religious minorities has always been in a centre of attention of Muslim jurists and rulers since an inception of Islamic state. Muhammad, Prophet of Islam did not know how to deal with them due to ambiguity of Qur’anic verses in respect of non-Muslims. His first document ‘Constitution of Medina’ is often considered as a model law that ensured an equality of members of different religions in a new-founded religious society.[1]
