JPIL Vol 7 Issue 1 2016 - Editorial
From the Editorial Desk

Volume 6, Issue 2 of the Journal of the Philosophy of International Law features two Articles and two Commentaries.
The first Article looks at Georg Hegel’s philosophy. The Article breaks new ground in that it focuses on how the Hegelian theory of retributive punishment upon a violation of abstract right applies to tax frameworks and crimes. Often it is seen that Hegel's principal achievement was in his erudition of idealism as it applied to dualisms of mind and nature and subject and object. The Article to the Editor’s mind is the first to have transposed the Hegelian spectrums of the state and history in examining frameworks of taxation and to develop policy recommendations.
