AbstAbstract

 

From the aspect of theory and practice of international economic law, this article draws on the reactive and practical participation, and theoretical contribution of Islamic states in international and regional development cooperation. It tries to see how development cooperation, whether at Islamic regional or universal level has and is contributing to the improvement of the development situation of the people. Apart from current development cooperation practice, the article stresses at the identification of possible economic Siyar norms on international development co-operations, which could enhance the capacity of Islamic countries to benefit from the global economy and the capacity of their citizens to overcome poverty and participate fully in national and international development. As a whole, it is a study of international law that incorporates and acknowledges the prominence of the Shariâ'ah principles in addressing the Muslim Ummah's interests and welfare.
