International Law and Food Adulteration in China:
Innovation of Remedy Mechanisms
An Jingjing

ABSTRACT: In recent years, food adulteration has been flooding in China. The production and sale of toxic food infringe on the right to safe food of consumers which is emphasized by both international human rights law and WTO law. However, the available remedial measures in China are not efficient for compensating the massive victims whose right to safe food is harmed in food scandals. Under such circumstances, compulsory liability insurance finds its ground to be launched in China in a timely manner.
