Communication Flows in International Economic Law
At the end of 2012 some six WTO Appellate Body Reports were issued.1 The majority of these cases involved in one form or another complaints involving discrimination in international trade, in particular violations of national treatment. In the same vein the phenomenon of free trade agreements (FTAs) notified to the WTO continues to grow – with some ten FTAs coming into force in 2012 alone, not to mention the feverish activity in the launching of new and more ambitious FTAs.
