THE CONSTITUTIONAL FOUNDATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW
Colin Warbrick

1. Introduction
I must begin by expressing my appreciation to the Brunel University and to the Brunel Law School for arranging this tribute to Professor Kaikobad. You had known him for only a short time and it is a measure of his qualities that you have felt moved to mount this occasion after his relatively short tenure here. It is an honour to be asked to give this address but, of course, I wish that the reason for it had not arisen.
