Abstract: This article compares aspects of the endowment between the Islamic and Western worlds. The comparative analysis includes the definition of endowment, its formulas, its purpose, and the reasons for its emergence and development in the preliminary stages. Moreover, it discusses the manifestations and models of endowments in the Islamic and Western worlds. The comparisons presented in this article are based on the legal approaches and practical realities of endowment between the Islamic and Western worlds. This comparative analysis augments knowledge by uncovering significant similarities in different endowment models in the Islamic and Western systems. This article probes the role of media in raising awareness of the importance of endowments and for that, it examines the endowment experiences in both worlds from legal, financial, and social aspects. The article argues that media organisations and endowment endowments are responsible for working together to enhance public awareness of the legal status and purposes of endowments originating from the Islamic and Western worlds. In doing so, media can remove misconceptions and build bridges between the Islamic and Western worlds to create mutual understanding and enhance cooperation, coherence, and human solidarity.
