Young Lo Ko

Young Lo Ko is a trade official at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources of Korea, with extensive experience leading and managing bilateral and multilateral negotiations encompassing Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), digital trade, services, and investment agreements. His prior experience includes serving as a Legal Specialist at the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), offering expert counsel on international trade and public international law. 
Alongside his public service, Dr. Ko is an active academic author who has published extensively on international trade law, digital trade, law and technology, and EU law in leading peer-reviewed journals and books. 
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Sungkyunkwan University and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics (LSE). He earned his Ph.D. from KAIST, where his doctoral research focused on the effectiveness of international trade law and digital trade agreements.
