In Memoriam: Professor Friedl Weiss (1946–2025)

 

It is with profound sadness that the international legal community marks the passing of Professor Friedl Weiss, an eminent Austrian jurist, distinguished scholar, and teacher of European and international law. Professor Weiss passed away on 15 September 2025, shortly before his seventy-ninth birthday. Born on 28 November 1946, he devoted his life to advancing the understanding and practice of European Law, International Economic Law, and the Law of International Organisations.
