Dr. Rutsel Silvestre Jacinto Martha (1955–2026)

It is with profound sadness that the international legal community mourns the passing of Dr. Rutsel Silvestre Jacinto Martha, a distinguished Curaçaoan jurist, diplomat, international civil servant and scholar of international law. Dr. Martha passed away in Willemstad on 3 June 2026, at the age of 70. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him, worked alongside him or were touched by his scholarship and public service.
