The Right to Democracy in International Law & the Arabs State Practice.

Abstract:
Identifying Arab State practice with regard to the right to democracy is the most ultimate recognition on where the right stands in the regional context. The appreciation of State practice in this respect will be considered in the Arab World collectively. This paper will analyze the Arab response to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the reaction to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, compliance with the regional regime, and, the Arab performance towards the Arab Spring in order to assess where the right stands in the region, and whether or not it reflects a regional customary tradition.
