Communication Flows in International Economic Law

The year ends and begins with all eyes focused on the impact of the US trade policy in international economic relations and the world trading order. There is no shortage of chatter both in legal and non-legal circles concerning this. The paralysis of the WTO Appellate Body is now certain at any rate for the immediate future. The US trade policy has now taken the world trading order in an extra legal terrain. There is no doubt however that ultimately the rule of international economic law will prevail but against the background of a changed set of trading rules. Moreover, the US actions will have created a changed set of political dynamics in international economic relations.
